What's the opportunity?
Join our team as a Data Analyst, a key role within the National Cancer Screening Register Epidemiology and Reporting teams. As a valued member, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the availability of high-quality, accurate data for both internal and external stakeholders. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting the National Cancer Screening Programs through insightful reporting and analytics. If you're passionate about contributing to impactful healthcare initiatives and possess strong analytical skills, we invite you to be part of our dedicated team at the forefront of advancing cancer screening efforts nationwide.
Key accountabilities include:
- Data Analysis: Utilise your expertise to analyse complex data sets, derive actionable insights, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Data Governance: Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of data, adhering to established data governance policies and best practices.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and other business units, to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address data-related issues, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance data quality and efficiency.
Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary data analysis and reporting methods, practices, and processes, including statistical and reporting packages for large and complex datasets.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and SQL experience
- Experience interpreting results for insights and actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and bringing together large and complex datasets for performing analysis.
- Experience with large Health-related datasets (desirable)
- 3-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and learn in a fast-paced environment
- High enthusiasm, analytic and inquisitive nature and a desire to keep up to date with data analysis methods and tools
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Maths/Statistics or Epidemiology or Information/Computer Science or an equivalent.
