The role
Reporting to the Manager, Data Insights Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in processing, analysing, and reporting clinical information using advanced data management and statistical analysis skills. Fulfilling the accountabilities in alignment with Public Service core values, you will integrate key data through various health information systems and analytical tools. Your responsibilities extend to managing key data-related functions of the project, collaborating with data custodians, and coordinating with subject matter experts to develop state-wide integrated reporting systems. Additionally, you will provide high-level consultancy and advice to the program Director, Manager, and team on data management and statistical analysis issues within a clinical context, supporting informed decision-making.
Your role involves overseeing data management processes, ensuring data quality, and addressing changing business needs while adhering to confidentiality and security standards. Employing high-level stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, you will build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, Hospital and Health Service, and Department of Health staff. Utilizing a modern approach to technology, including automation and configuration management, you will collaborate with peers to cross-skill in related technologies, proactively adopting continuous improvement methods.

To excel in this role, you need to showcase your proven ability to contribute effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, leading and managing the development and implementation of data requirements to achieve project objectives. Strong skills in developing productive working relationships and the capacity to coordinate, influence, negotiate, and communicate with various internal and external stakeholders, utilizing both written and verbal methods, are crucial for successfully meeting project deliverables.
Furthermore, a prerequisite for this role is a high-level understanding and practical application of data management and statistical analysis concepts. This includes the capability to integrate diverse data sets, utilizing contemporary software and reporting tools to generate meaningful information and reports. Proficiency in advanced computer skills, particularly in Oracle, MSSQL, PowerBI, and Qlik products, is highly valued. The role involves adeptly navigating and extracting data from corporate and enterprise sources, emphasizing the importance of advanced technical capabilities in various systems and technologies.
