Information and Digital Services (IDS) are a pivotal resource of the University, providing information and digital technology services and support to the Flinders University staff and student community. The IDS team apply technical expertise to support university projects and provide core services such as IDS ServiceDesk, Information Security, Data, Architecture and Integration, Audio visual simulation and event services and more.
About the Role
As an integral part of the Data & Analytical Services Team, this role works closely with business partners to deliver actionable insights by working with available data and enabling self-service analytics through creation and publication of easy-to-comprehend data visualisations to various stakeholders across Flinders University.
Some of the key responsibilities of the position are:
- Developing, visualising, and publishing information assets in accordance with Data & Analytics principles, guardrails and design standards.
- Supporting preparation and analysis of regulatory, cyclical, and any other mandatory reporting or information requirements for the University.
- Periodically participating in knowledge building activities and events to be aware of latest/best practices related to the role and to keep skills and knowledge up to date. Supporting an agile based way of working to manage, refine, and prioritise the activity backlog based on relevant customer and IDS priorities.
As the successful candidate, you are a certified Power BI Data Analyst and are passionate about using data to answer real business needs. You thrive in problem solving and delivering quality outcomes. You are proficient in data querying and profiling using SQL and PowerQuery.
