HSSG is a unit of the Public Health System Support Division of the Health Administration Corporation to provide services to support the public health system in implementing Government targets and programs.

About The Role
The Enterprise Data Warehouse for Analysis, Reporting and Decision support (EDWARD) will be the ‘single source of truth’ for the business information required to underpin the Ministry of Health’s System Manager role including purchasing, performance support, performance management, funding, planning, internal reporting, public reporting, and research.
The Data Architect - EDWARD will report directly to Director EDWARD and will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise to inform the detailed design, data acquisition, data models, source system configuration, and testing of NSW Health data assets in the state-wide enterprise data warehouse reporting solution. This position ensures the end-to-end delivery of data via data streams, brokers business requirements workstream tasks throughout the design and implementation lifecycle, and guides and manages resolution of complex non-compliant data quality and data integrity issues.

- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field and / or current and extensive experience as a Data Architect in healthcare environment.
- Proven technical experience in designing and implementing data models and architectures for enterprise data warehouses. Experience should also include advanced data analytics, ETL processes in a healthcare environment.
- Experience across the complete data development lifecycle from ingestion, to storage, transformation, modelling and visualisation in healthcare sector.
- Proven ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, define Data architectures, and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data issues, identify root causes, and recommend and implement effective solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data management and adapt to evolving requirements and priorities in the healthcare sector.
