About the role
The Data Engineer will represent the GMHBA Data & Analytics team on the Customer 360 project to migrate from on-premises Microsoft Dynamics to Microsoft Dynamics 365. The primary focus of the role is to assess the impacts of the migration on GMHBA’s enterprise data warehouse, and to help redesign data models and rebuild data pipelines in response. The Data Engineer may also contribute to general data architecture, data modelling, data mapping, data governance, and data validation activities to support the broader data migration and data integration for the project.
The difference you will make includes:
- Assess impacts of Customer 360 project on Azure data pipelines, data lake, and data warehouse.
- Work with colleagues in the Data & Analytics team to redesign enterprise data warehouse and associated data pipelines in response to Customer 360 project.
- Assist the Data & Analytics team to rebuild meta-data driven pipelines to ingest and transform data.
- Assist in activities to support data architecture decisions e.g., master data management, conceptual data modelling, target state data structures.
- Undertaking data mapping activities to understand changes to CRM and other data sources for the Azure GMHBA data warehouse.
About you
Are you a Data Engineer looking to be part of an exciting transformational project? Are you experienced with CRM Migrations? We are looking for someone to not only be involved with the data migration, but someone who wants to work closely within the project and business to ensure the best approach is achieved. Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 data structures e.g., Dataverse.
- Experience sourcing data from Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Advanced understanding of data architecture and data warehousing.
- Proficient in SQL, T-SQL, SQL Server.
- Strong technical documentation writing skills.
- Experience working on migration projects for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (or similar CRM).
- Highly Advantageous skills and experience include:
- using Azure Synapse and/or Azure Data Factory for data pipelines.
- using Azure ADSL and Azure SQL DBs/Managed Instance.
- knowledge of any healthcare or insurance related data models would be highly advantageous.
