About the role:
The Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in operationalising the data and analytics strategic initiatives for WMQ.
Build manage and optimise data pipelines and then moving these data pipelines effectively into production for key data and analytics consumers.
Guarantee compliance with data governance and data security requirements while creating, improving and operationalising these integrated and reusable data pipelines.
Creative and collaborative working with data analysts, IT and the wider business.
Implement effective Data Engineering and management practices and promoting better understanding of data and analytics.
Work with key business stakeholders, IT experts and subject-matter experts to plan and deliver optimal Data Engineering solutions
About you:
A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Strong experience working with Azure data services technologies or related cloud technologies. Demonstrated experience in designing, building, improving and maintaining analytical data models. In-depth knowledge and experience in building sustainable and reusable data pipelines to facilitate data movement from source systems to the enterprise data warehouse.
Strong experience working in an agile project environment.
Knowledge and experience working with DevOps principles, such as version control, CI/CD and automated testing.
Strong client management and engagement experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
