Currently we are seeking expressions of interest from Data Science/Modeller professionals. We are seeking expressions of interest from candidates who would be looking for perm F/T and also contract positions.

About you and what you can bring,

You will be the type of person who know how to bring several mathematical techniques to solve problems. You will be curious and creative, ready to relish working with like-minded individuals who thrive on solving problems.

We are looking for expressions of interest from candidates that have..

• A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Statistics (Masters Degree preferred)
• Demonstrated knowledge around Data science, statistical knowledge, mathematics, computer science and programming (python is preferred)
• A demonstrated statistical mindset and a speciality in at least one analytics field (predictive analytics, machine learning, simulation modelling)
• Demonstrated experience implementing solutions using PowerBI for comprehensive data visualisation.
• Experience testing and deploying data models
• Demonstrated experience implementing data models that support business analytics initiatives
• Industrial and/or financial modelling and data analysis experience would be an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role in the mining, energy or finance industry would also be preferred.

About the opportunity,

Working within our team, you will collaborate with a range of internal and external clients on the issues that matter to them. Contributing to complex solving of challenging real-world problems, there is a wide range of work for our team to be focusing on. Leveraging modelling techniques to design and optimize processes.

Every day is different here at idoba, some of your responsibilities may include.

• Analysing client pain points
• Design and develop value driver and discrete event models to simulate complex industrial processes.
• Work closely with our software developers to implement and test models in a variety of programming languages.
• Monitoring model performance and refine models as needed.
• Plan own data modelling and design activities, selecting appropriate techniques and the correct level of detail for meeting assigned objectives.
• Understand and apply rules and guidelines specific to the industry and anticipate risks and other implications of modelling
