Day Hospital Administrators will have a very important role at Monash IVF Group in our new Broadwater Private Day Hospital. You will be the first person patients meet when they engage with our new Day Hospital. With exceptional service, underpinned by compassion, empathy and attention to detail, you will directly enhance the experience of patients undertaking procedures related to fertility, gynaecology, ophthalmology, paediatric dental and plastics.
Under the guidance of the Patient Services Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
- Triaging incoming calls, emails and responding to patient enquiries
- Managing patient bookings, admission paperwork and the flow of patients through the day surgery each day
- Performing Health Fund checks as required
- Managing the collection of excesses/co-payments, daily banking, receipting and reconciliation
- Accurate data entry into the patient management system, FYDO
- Providing general administrative support to the Day Hospital team
- Delivering exceptional caring service to all patients
The Day Hospital Administrators will be sensitive to the needs of patients and will support their wellbeing through timely and considered communication. Ideally you will bring the following:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Previous administration experience in a day surgery, theatre, hospital or health setting
- Previous experience with Private Health Funds, Medicare, medical billing and receipting
- Excellent telephone manner
- Exceptional computer and IT skills, FYDO advantageous, Microsoft Office Suite essential
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work cohesively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Superior time management skills with proven ability to multitask
- A willingness to embrace the Monash IVF Group principles – Care, Collaborate, Communicate, Commitment, Create.
