Acclimatise Pty Ltd are seeking a Army Marine Level 3 Engineering Support officer at HMAS Cairns.
The role will entail the following:
- Provide engineering advice on Army Marine equipment.
- Plan, monitor and control the development of configuration changes IAW Configuration Management Policy to meet the priorities for implementation.
- Process RODUMs, ECs, and Configuration Management.
- Undertake tests, measurements, investigations/trials on equipment, and technical facilities/products.
- Work with Army Marine lead Technical Analysts to develop Technical Risk Assessments for significant ECs that do not have Design Acceptance (DAcc) within the Army Marine workflow; and to progress existing ECs through the Configuration Management Tool – Land (CMT-L) workflow to achieve DAcc.
- Prepare/amend/review technical data in the form of drawings, illustrations, specifications, handbooks, manuals, instructions and calculations.
- Liaise with outside organisations, other sections/clients on technical/engineering matters.
- Liaise with Military Units, Organisations and personnel at various levels of management from COs to soldier (specific to allocated Engineering tasks).
- Exercise authorised delegations in accordance with Land Materiel Safety Manual.
- Contribute to the corporate goals and values of HSPO organisation.
- Understand the Operational Command and Control of Army Logistics at Strategic, Operational and Tactical Levels and its effect on Army Marine equipment.
Experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering (preferably mechanical engineering);
- Experience in specialist Engineering (Maritime Systems) at a Level 3 Advanced Practitioner;
- Suitable qualifications and experience to qualify for CASG/NSSG Level 5 Engineering/Technical authority (Level 3 under NTRF).
- Experience with the Defence Landworthiness and Seaworthiness Management Systems;
- Experience in the Engineering Change (EC) Process;
- Familiarity with Configuration Management Tool – Land (CMT-L), over equivalent system;
- Familiarity with technical and maintenance documentation used within Army to support fielded equipment; and
- Effective communication and analytical skills, including proficiency in computer applications including MS Word and Excel and the ability provide consistent documents based on agreed templates, ensuring strict formatting is adhered to.
The following experience and qualifications are desirable:
- Familiarity with equipment supported by CA42 Army Marine;
- Experience in Defective or Unsatisfactory Materiel (RODUM) system investigations;
- Understanding of Army Maintenance Doctrine; and
- Experience in commercial, finance (Simple/Basic Procurement) and business support fields.
NV1 Clearance Required
