About the role

A new, exciting, permanent, full-time opportunity for a Delivery Manager – Data has become available in the Data and Intelligence division at the Coles Group.

The primary objective of this role will be primarily responsible for overseeing overall delivery of scope within the agreed budget and timelines and provide strategic guidance to project and product team to ensure successful delivery of business outcomes with alignment to priorities.

You will partner with senior stakeholders to ensure expectations for delivery are met or managed appropriately and contribute to continual improvement of Data team ways of working and coaching the product and project team to deliver better quality outcomes.

You will lead a team of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers within the Data team Key Stakeholders: Bullet point the positions major stakeholders (internal and external).

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Oversee overall delivery and provide strategic guidance to project and product team to ensure successful delivery of business outcomes with alignment to priorities.
• Bring thought leadership and have strategic vision and objectives for delivery team which aligns with Data team goals.
• Shaping and lead automated portfolio ecosystem to maintain accurate and up to date consolidated roadmaps, financial and benefits across Data teams
• Effective management and development of delivery team, members understand their work, priorities and are satisfied with their roles at work (mysay). For FT TM, have clear, tailored goals and regular check ins for contractors & FT. Foster a good team culture that enables team collaboration, individual development and good work.
• Implementing strategic and scalable delivery framework to ensure faster, better, cost effective delivery of quality solution and develop a culture of continues improvement.
• Provide team wide delivery capability uplift of Data agile values, principles and practices for the planning and execution of business value.
• Lead the further adoption of an agile mindset by increasing adaptability, transparency, quality and productivity.
• Stakeholder management
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Data

About you and your skills

• Proven years’ of experience in delivery management of Data and Analytics programs requiring multiple components, or other senior delivery roles that are product and outcome focussed.
• Has successfully executed the delivery of complex initiatives i.e. initiatives that involve multiple functional areas, multiple technologies and ways of working, criticality of the systems involved and considerable levels of change and uniqueness
• Experience in leading a team including coaching, having difficult conversations, and providing feedback
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in delivering Agile and Hybrid waterfall.
• Ability to guide and mentor members of the Delivery and Portfolio team
• High level of flexibility with the ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
• Good Understanding of business intelligence & analytics applications within corporate environments
• Good understanding of retail domain
• Good understanding of cloud technologies, incl. Snowflake, Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
• Excellent strategic thinking with commercial acumen, stakeholder management and strong communication skill
• Formal Project Management accreditation e.g. Diploma of PM, CPPM/Reg PM, PMP, PRINCE2
• Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology and/or Business or equivalent industry experience (desirable)
• Demonstrated awareness in applicable IT project management processes
• Exposure to agile tools and techniques
• Comfortable in resolving conflict and able to facilitate discussion on alternatives and different approaches
• Excellent strategic thinking with commercial acumen, stakeholder management and strong communication skill
• Formal Project Management accreditation e.g. Diploma of PM, CPPM/Reg PM, PMP, PRINCE2
• Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology and/or Business or equivalent industry experience (desirable)
