The Opportunity

You run several local teams. You are a people leader who excels at managing projects and delivery timelines, you are comfortable coaching teams, you bring an agile mindset, and a clear understanding of the business’ bigger picture. You are able to facilitate a technical discussion around the whiteboard and ideally will have some experience in the Energy Market. You are a pivotal person in inspiring and motivating everyone in the Delivery Engineering group to be the best they can be.

You work closely with the Customer Success Managers, Project Managers, Engineering Managers and Architects. You lead a group of 12-25 people in the Delivery Engineering group, comprising 2-4 autonomous teams. While the majority of your interactions will be local, you’ll have the ability to form relationships and collaborate across timezones

In addition to this, you will;

· Support initiatives run by the GSTF and demonstrate our company values by providing a clear commitment to environmental and social responsibility.

· Contribute through identifying/proposing local sustainable practices and ideas in accordance with our Sustainability Charter.

· Utilise our sustainability app by taking part in challenges and improving behaviours to be more sustainable.

The Specifics

  • You will create and manage communication strategies for projects and deliverables you own. Effectively communicating to a range of stakeholders, senior leaders, and the wider business.
  • You will take accountability for the creation and management of delivery timelines internally and with our customers.
  • You will connect the work we are doing to the wider business context and business strategy, so that each week people leave with a feeling that their contributions made an impact.
  • You will coach and support the continuous improvement of cross-functional autonomous T-shaped engineering teams.
  • Recognise gaps in our Delivery Engineering process and propose and support changes to address.
  • You will foster the evolution of the Delivery Engineering team culture in a growing organization.
  • You drive change within the organisation and foster a positive culture of continuous improvement.
  • You will drive individual growth through recognition, opportunities, and incentives. You celebrate success and tackle issues with compassion.
  • You will manage delivery budgets effectively and report on budgets in a timely manner.
  • Assist and support Customer Success by effectively handling assigned service requests and defects for customers both internal and external.

What we're looking for (you don’t need to be a guru at all, we’re looking forward to coaching and collaborating with you):

  • Experience with successful on time delivery of 1 year+ multi team projects.
  • Experience with stakeholder holder management of external customers.
  • Experience with people management of a cross functional group.
  • Experience in managing software development teams.
  • A passion for people and a track record of nurturing and growing them to be the best they can be.
  • A 'servant leader' mindset.
  • Experience in and ideas for influencing change and growth of development teams.
  • A relentless drive for continuous improvement in processes, others and yourself.
  • A track record of building strong relationships and inspiring people through words and actions.

  • A relevant tertiary qualification could help, but isn’t mandatory.
