Job description
Who are we?
We’re here to help people live well and create a better and more sustainable future. We support healthy and liveable communities by delivering water, sewerage and recycled water services to 1.77 million people who rely on us every day and every night. At South East Water, we innovate with purpose and act with care to deliver healthy water for life. Fresh thinking and collaboration are at the heart of our organisation. We are constantly learning, embracing the challenges of today and excited by the opportunities that tomorrow will bring.
The role
This is a newly developed role, designed to support South East Water in becoming a digital utility. The Delivery Operations Lead will oversee the operational activities required to support the mass exchange of mechanical meters to digital meters; leading the operational works, collaborating with the field service provider, managing exchange exceptions and providing regular reporting to ensure the works are scheduled and completed within planned milestones and service level agreements. Beyond the mass roll out of digital meters, this role has the potential to be expanded to cover other digital devices at scale in the future.
Who are you?
A tertiary qualification in business or engineering, or equivalent experience in metering or asset management, paired with a demonstrated track record leading high performing teams will set you up for success in this role. You have the ability to plan and manage operational works, and bring working knowledge of the customer metering field, including technology, operations, reading, systems, and planning to this role. Sound knowledge of metering principles, practices, regulations, legislation, and standards is not essential, but is highly regarded.
You're an exceptional communicator with experience managing internal and external stakeholders, including customer engagement and resolving customer complaints. With strong business and commercial acumen and an understanding of delivering results within service level agreements, you're well versed in managing conflicting priorities and can make sound decisions with tact and diplomacy by utilising the information available to you. Process management and improvement expertise would be ideal.
You put safety first; with working knowledge of relevant Occupational Health and Safety legislation and obligations, you're committed to the safety and wellbeing of all employees, contractors, customers and the community.
What's in it for you?
Remuneration from $109,104 to $121,370 plus superannuation with offers made in line with experience and skills.
A commitment to work-life balance with truly flexible working arrangements, including hybrid working and leave purchasing.
15 weeks paid parental leave for all parents and paid super on unpaid parental leave
A range of benefits, including free on-site parking and cultural leave.
A great culture working in collaborative teams with strong work ethics.
Career focused learning and development opportunities.
The opportunity to be part of an organisation committed to environmental initiatives.
Enjoy modern office facilities with panoramic beachfront views.
