The Role
Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager the role of the Demand Planner plays a pivotal role in the demand planning and forecasting activities within our Integrated Business Planning (IBP) framework, ensuring the precision and effectiveness of demand planning strategies to align with the overarching goals of the business. This critical position demands a proactive and collaborative approach, whilst working closely with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to develop accurate demand forecasts that are integral to optimising supply chain operations and achieving customer satisfaction.
This is a key role within the business, and we are seeking an experienced and professional candidate to bring insight, innovation, and inspiration to the business, whilst delivering high quality outcomes in a fast paced and results driven environment.
The scope of the role includes, but is not limited to:
- Deliver minimum 98% OTIF fill rate levels to customers for the relevant product categories
- Achieve forecast accuracy > 98% target in Lag 1 FCST
- Maintain forecast software baselines & promotions (audit and challenge the assumptions to ensure correct FCST in the system)
- Own Demand planning from customer orders to planners’ orders
- Proactively drive a Perfect Fill Rate Report for each of the major customers
- Support delivery of sales forecast goals
The Person
To be successful in the role you will have demonstrated experience (at least 3 years) in a similar role, preferably within the FMCG industry. Degree qualified in a Business, Engineering or Science discipline would be advantageous but not mandatory. You will be driven to achieve results, and the ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
You will have strong communication skills, be a methodical problem solver and be able to make decisions in a timely manner whilst under pressure. An adaptable working style, strong time management skills and the willingness to contribute and work in collaboration with key stakeholders.
