About The Role
Prepare nutritious meals, ensuring food safety and creating a positive dining experience for young children.
The Demi Chef/Cook will work as a member of a committed team of childcare workers in providing quality service for children attending Wodonga TAFE’s childcare centre Kids on Campus.
This position involves the preparation of high-quality food to the Wodonga TAFE Kids on Campus Childcare Centre, and the provision of friendly and efficient food service to all children at Kids on Campus.
Selected Duties:
- Assembly and preparation of ingredients and daily menus in accordance with safe and hygienic food handling practices.
- Monitor temperatures of food production and food storage units in line with requirements of the food safety plan.
- Receive and check food in accordance with Wodonga TAFE policies and procedures and related guidelines.
- Check menus and prepare for the day ahead to ensure catering requirements, quantities and timeframes are met.
About You
Skills & Experience
- Certificate of Commercial Cookery.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Statement of Attainment - Australian Food Safety Supervisor (Community Services) or willingness to obtain.
