Supernormal is a lively, all-day, Asian inspired restaurant with a contemporary Japanese aesthetic. The refectory-style dining room is flanked by a long, open kitchen and bar; downstairs lies a secret space for events, parties and karaoke. Supernormal’s menu is influenced by the cuisines of Tokyo, Shanghai, Seoul and Hong Kong. It celebrates the notion of shared feasts via a selection of classic dishes alongside some new and inspired interpretations.
If you’re a Chef de Partie or Demi chef looking to take your career to the next level, then Supernormal has endless opportunities to learn, create, and drive yourself to be the best chef you can. Our vibrant and buzzing restaurant is at the centre of our city’s cultural heart, and was awarded a prestigious City of Melbourne 2022 Melbourne Award for Hospitality for our contribution in helping to make our city one of the great dining destinations of the world.
Our annual calendar of events is always exciting, with collaborations, events and pop ups a regular feature of our day-to-day. In 2024, we’ll also open a second Supernormal in Brisbane.
