The Lincoln is one of the best pubs in Melbourne, much-loved and focused on serving great food, fine wine and craft beer. Rather than purely standard pub fare, our menu is seasonal modern Australian, championing Australian produce.We are looking for a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie to join our team.JOB DUTIES:
-Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
-Planning and development of menu in collaboration with Head Chef and Restaurant Manager
-Ordering food and kitchen supplies, in line with food and wage costs
-Follow recipes and monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
-Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
-Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations
-Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities
-Demonstration and training of cooking techniques to apprentices and other kitchen staffWHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

-Competitive salary, permanent full-time rates under Hospitality Industry (General) Award, with leave, loading, and any overtime and penalty ratesThe annual salary offered for the position can range from $60,000 to $80,000 per year, plus superannuation, depending on the relevant level and skill of the applicant.ABOUT YOU:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
-At least 3 years experience as a chef, with fine dining experience preferred but not essential
-Ability to follow directions and support team goals.
-A passion to craft your skills & embrace continuous learning
-Commitment to maintaining a very high and consistent standard of food
-Time management and outstanding organisational skill, including stock control experience
-Ability to maintain composure and thrive in a high volume, high pressure environment
-Positive attitude and strong work ethic
-An understanding of food safety and HACCP principle
-Availability to participate in a 7-day working roster of days, nights, weekends and public holidays
