HarperCollins Publishers has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Publishing Operations division in the role of Operations Coordinator. This is a permanent full-time position based at our head office in Sydney CBD.
The role:
This role offers key operational support to the business, with focus on bibliographic data management and maintenance. There are three key functions:
- Ensuring all metadata is up-to-date and accurate in our systems
- Ensuring our order forms, covers, e-kits and ONIX files are created, checked and available by the agreed deadline
- Ensuring eBook and Audiobook conversion and distribution meets our critical path requirements
The role requires strong collaboration with publishing, sales, and supply teams, as well as good working relationships with overseas colleagues and clients. This role will suit someone with good interpersonal and organisational skills, great attention to detail, and excellent communication (both verbal and written).
Essential skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience in database management
- Experience working with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
- Photoshop and InDesign (preferable)
- Ability to work independently
- Deadline focused
- Team player
