CAMILLA is searching for an eager and passionate Fashion Design Assistant to join our colourful tribe to support our fast-paced Childrenswear Design Team in the development cycle of product from conception to sales samples.
Please note, this will be a 12-month fixed-term contract
The role includes but is not limited to..
- Assist Designers with inspirational research and presentation.
- Produce technical sketches and mock up print in preparation for Sketch review meetings.
- Completing tech packs within Critical Path.
- Assisting Senior and Junior Designer with fit comments and tech packs
- Prepare specification packages i.e fabrication and trim for garment technician.
- Provide detailed trims and embroidery information.
- Attend fit meetings and clear notation.
- Update centric Master sheets.
- Proto sample checking in and preparing for Range meetings.
- Prepare design presentations for review meetings.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a Design Assistant role preferred.
- Fashion Design or Graphics Degree.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suits - In-Design, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of print.
- Creative with high attention to detail.
- Organisation skills - ability to priorotise and manage tasks to set deadlines.
- Retail/design/production industry background.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
