The Opportunity
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, as a Design Engineer you'll contribute to our clients mission by providing top-tier design solutions that adhere to specific regulations, ensuring the delivery of state-of-the-art stormwater management systems into drainage networks. The role is based in our client's South West Sydney Office, with occasional travel to client sites.
Job Scope
- Collaborate closely with internal presales engineers, engineering, and production personnel
- Utilise AutoCAD and MUSIC modelling software to develop high-quality stormwater models and designs
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations, maintaining active communication with stakeholders
- Represent our client professionally at events, conferences, and client sites
- Train, learn, and coordinate with internal engineering and technical support staff
- Work closely with the Engineering Manager to drive project success and build upon your existing skills
What we are looking for?
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
- Ability to understand and follow complex instructions, employing problem-solving strategies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and drafting software such as AutoCAD
- A willingness to learn and show initiative
Advantage to have but not essential
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles, particularly related to Storm Water Drainage Systems
- Proficiency or exposure with water modelling tools like MUSIC
