About the Role
Reporting directly to the Senior Design Engineer, the Design Engineers spearhead technical support and conducts thorough engineering investigations for road and drainage design projects within the infrastructure portfolio.
Duties
- Investigate and provide recommendations, proposals, and cost estimates for road, traffic, and drainage.
- Research and implement relevant standards and guidelines.
- Deliver accurate technical solutions, designs, and advice promptly.
- Conduct inspections for capital and development works.
- Manage customer service and administrative tasks for departmental operations.
- Civil Engineering degree or equivalent experience in construction/design.
- Proficiency in civil engineering geometrical design, drafting, and relevant software.
- Proficient in interpreting and adhering to regulations, policies, and precedents.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, 12D, GIS.
- Council experience (Desired).
- Valid driver's license.
