About the role
Keller Australia is currently seeking an experienced Design & Estimating Manager to join our team in Brisbane.
You will be responsible for:
- Supervise the work of Design Engineers and CAD Operators to ensure compliance with technical standards
- Review and analyse aspects of design construction with respect to design development
- Leading the preparation of all new bids/tenders in accordance with company processes including documentation of risk
- Coordinate the design and estimating work required during projects, managing the production of technical designs and estimation of labour, materials, and equipment
- Review tender schedules and prepare cutting edge expressions of interest & tender submissions for major projects
- Ensure tender costs and productions are achievable, ensuring proposed works can be constructed safety
About you
We are seeking candidates with the ability to drive performance excellence, strong leadership skills and a passion for the industry.
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- University degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Experience in a similar role managing designs and tenders
- Comprehensive understanding of the civil and resource markets and contracting models
- Excellent business development and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of building long term industry relationships
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management capability
