We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Design Manager to join our growing construction team.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Design Manager to join our growing construction team. As a Construction Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing all design activities across multiple construction projects, ensuring that all design work is completed in accordance with project specifications, contracts, and applicable regulations. You collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee design activities across multiple construction projects
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery
  • Review project specifications and contracts to identify design requirements and constraints
  • Develop and maintain project design schedules and budgets
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, contracts, and applicable regulations
  • Monitor project progress and update senior management on key milestones and potential issues
  • Identify and resolve design-related issues and escalate issues to senior management as needed
  • Ensure that project design records and documents are accurate and up-to-date
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project design status, including potential risks and opportunities
  • Manage the design process, including design development, design review, and design approval

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management or engineering
  • 8 + years of experience in design management in the construction industry
  • Experience working on largescale construction project from $70m upwards
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of construction project management tools and software
  • Understanding of construction contracts and regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with building codes and standards
