The Role:
Due to a recent acquisition our client is looking for an experienced Design Manager to join the business. You will be running the design 25 storey mixed-use residential building.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the design/documentation process to achieve design milestones and budget
- Establish & implement the Project Design Management Plan
- Apply strategic Design Management principles to deliver optimum project outcomes
- Partake in peer review of the design for regulatory and building compliance as well as coordination of services with the multi-discipline design subcontractors
- Prepare design review reports at the nominated milestones
- Plan and manage all actions necessary through the design process to obtain all Government and PWC approvals
- Coordinate delivery of final design (100%) “For Tender” documentation.
- Assist with the procurement of trade package subcontractors during Delivery/Construction phase
What’s Needed:
- Degree in a relevant discipline together with solid experience in Design Management.
- Exposure to the residential sector is desirable.
- Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the external and internal business environment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated effective leadership skills through development of productive relationships with colleagues and team members
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
