What's in it for you?

As our wavespace Design Strategy Lead you will use a range of human-centred, collaborative and creative methods to deliver exceptional, engaging and productive sessions for our clients. In addition, you will lead and inspire a creative team of Design Strategists, Visual Designers and Technologists to achieve these outcomes.

You will be responsible for working and collaborating with wavespace Experience Leaders and Managers, EY and client teams to understand their desired outcomes. You and the wavespace team will then design and deliver an immersive and collaborative experience to achieve those results which will be delivered both virtually and in person.

You'll lead and mentor a high performing team ensuring all experiences are high quality, seamless and engaging; proactively inspiring and empowering the team to strengthen and evolve the wavespace methodology and approach.

You'll build and maintaining networks within the EY ecosystem and be active across our wavespace global network as well as having a key role in the leadership of the wavespace Australia team, sharing insights on how to strengthen the team and lead change within our own practice.

What we're looking for

  • Proven and demonstrated professional experience as a creative or design leader role, in a client or customer facing environment.
  • Experience in managing complex projects and leading creative teams.
  • Experience in multiple creative design fields / disciplines such as graphic design, interaction design, communication design.
  • Design Thinking / Human Centered Design qualifications (e.g. IDEO)
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management and strong executive presence.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and time management skills
  • Strong business acumen, including forethought, capacity for creativity, and adaptability.

  • High level of competency with design applications and technology, with experience across disciplines/media.
  • Experience using a wide range of collaboration and design tools.
