Gardner Vaughan Group, an award-winning building developer, is currently seeking a Design Technician/Architectural Graduates to join their design team on a 6 month fixed term contract work with potential for permanent position beyond this period. This opportunity allows you to contribute your skills in creating detailed and accurate architectural drawings using Revit software. GVG are focused on delivering high-quality apartments and townhouses in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. As part of the greater GVG team, the design team is dedicated to creating functional and aesthetically pleasing building designs that our residents can be proud of.
We are seeking an experienced Design Technician to join our growing and passionate design team. Supported by the Head of Design, you will be responsible for preparing working drawings for multi-residential and mixed-use projects ranging from $10m to $80m.
Key responsibilities
- Preparation of 3D models and construction documents using Revit
- Coordinating with consulting engineers and contractors
- Familiarity with the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and Queensland Development Code
- Familiarity with multi-residential and mixed-use construction processes and methodology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google workspace would be advantageous
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar design drafting role
- Tertiary qualification in Building Design/Drafting or relevant industry experience in Architecture/Design
- Strong proficiency in Revit
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
