We are currently seeking a Despatch Officer to join our tight-knit team at the Maroochydore branch.
As part of our dynamic team, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the interface between production and distribution of steel bar. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established group offering professional development, career growth and a supportive work environment.
Working hours for this position are 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM Monday to Friday.
As a key member of the team you will:
Prepare and manage truck schedule in accordance with priorities and truck capacity limits
Collaborate closely with internal teams including Production Planners, Schedulers, Operations and Sales
Liaise with customers prior to despatch to determine delivery details
Ensure loading dockets for Operations team are distributed on time
Consistently deliver exceptional customer service

About your experience
To be successful in this role, you will be a goal oriented and motivated individual with a passion for logistics and customer service.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Prior experience in a transport or manufacturing environment
Product knowledge of dimensions and typical uses is desirable
A strong understanding of load requirements and restraints
A safety-first mindset
A confident and professional approach to problem solving
Proven ability to multitask efficiently
Basic knowledge of MS Office, Excel and Access
