About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Development Assessment Planner to join our team.
Council is looking for a highly motivated planning professional who can deliver quality outcomes in the assessment and determination of Development Applications, Modification Applications and Subdivision Certificates.
In this role you will gain valuable experience in the assessment of a range of development proposals and contribute to the role of the Department in the provision of customer service and response to planning enquiries.
The successful candidates must have appropriate tertiary qualifications and excellent communication skills.
Essential criteria
- Completion of a tertiary qualification in Town Planning or sufficiently relevant field
- Proven ability in providing town planning advice and customer service in the field of town planning
- Practical experience in the assessment and understanding of a wide range of Development Applications
- Sound knowledge of Environmental Legislation relevant to NSW
- A current Class C Driver Licence
Desirable criteria
- Previous Local Government experience
- Assessment of subdivision development applications and subdivision certificate applications.
Commencing salary: $87,017.00 - $100,725.00 per annum, plus 11% Superannuation.
This position requires the worker to be double vaccinated against COVID-19 or to hold a medical contraindication certificate.
