Your new role
As a Development Engineer you will provide engineering advice to assist in the processing of Development Applications and issuing of certificates. You will also be responsible for:
- Management of engineering and public infrastructure matters relating to development applications and consents
- Establishing, and ensuring developer compliance with Council's standards, specifications and infrastructure related conditions of development consent
- Management of development referrals to achieve Council's development assessment and corporate response timelines
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or other appropriate discipline recognised by a relevant Australian professional institute.
- Comprehensive experience in establishing engineering conditions of consent and successful management of development related activities impacting public infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of Roads Act, Local Government Act and Environmental Planning & Assessment Act and associated regulations.
- Sound experience in the design and construction of civil infrastructure.
- A strong customer service ethic and a capacity to support innovative thinking.
