ABOUT THE ROLE
The strategic objective for this role relates to increasing participation of the sport, specifically the growth and development of all school program platforms and strengthening the link between schools, program participants, our clubs and other stakeholders.
This role will manage the development and delivery of school-based community programs across Western Australia and support the wider participation team in its objective of bringing the game to as wide an audience as possible.
CORE DUTIES
- Foster proactive and positive relationships within the rugby community encompassing clubs, schools, affiliated organisations, service providers and local government.
- ·Engage a new audience of participants from non-traditional rugby primary and high schools to deliver the Junior Force and Get into Rugby School programs and link to Get into Rugby Club programs or Junior Rugby registered participant.
- Create local school and community networks that promote transition and encourage participants from schools into Junior club registration.
- Plan, coordinate and deliver all logistics relating to school holiday clinics across the year.
- Promotion of local clubs, Western Force events and other relevant rugby related events/initiatives at all Junior Force, Get into Rugby & Holiday clinics across the year.
- The schools program role will assist the club programs and school competitions coordinators in the practical delivery of the operational plan against the approved budget
- Oversee the management of casual staff including but not limited to, timesheet approval, regular upskilling and quality assurance checks and onboarding of new casuals to the organisation.
- Support the development and delivery of education programs to our volunteers, match officials and coaches.
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 3 years-experience in a similar development and/or program delivery role within the sport and recreation industry
- Demonstrable success in program delivery and achieving growth outcomes
- Excellent communication and customer service skills and a track record of successful relationship building within a service delivery environment
- The ability to initiate, monitor and review projects and activities in line with organizational plans
- Demonstrated project management skills, including an ability to analyse, plan, monitor, evaluate and prioritize
- A Self-Starter with a proactive attitude
- the ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive, high performing team
- Current Working with Children clearance
- WA Drivers Licence
- Intermediate level of computer literacy (MS Office)
