The primary role of Engineering function within the Developer Experience team is to create modern, best practice solutions and designs that are a joy to use. Simplifying development whilst enabling faster and more reliable delivery of new products, improvements, and enhancements to existing products. Working closely with developers and other stakeholders to understand and define needs in these designs. Building a team and operating model to support ResMed development world-wide.

Developers solicit user feedback regarding product usability and desired future enhancements. Software Engineers who design, write and test code aim to provide clear abstractions that offer documentation and self-service, thereby allowing product development for customer needs

Let’s talk about the role and responsibilities:

As a DevOps Engineer, you must possess world class technical skills and a strong sense of empathy for your fellow developers. You will work closely with other talented engineers, architects and senior stakeholders to architect, implement, and deliver on our roadmap.

You have a developer first mentality with a deep empathy for the challenges of modern software development.

You have a demonstrated track record of full-lifecycle product development from inception to happy customers.

Work with the team to build our cloud native mindset and drive our architecture towards it.

Drive product roadmaps and migration plans to achieve strategic goals.

Bring a collaborative attitude to all facets of our development environment (architecture, process, tools, technologies) and help the company set technical direction.

Collaborate across the enterprise to drive consensus and understanding.

Let’s talk about the required skills and Qualifications:

BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

2+ years of professional software development experience.

Familiar delivering large or small codebases across multiple languages such as Java, Javascript, Python, Go, etc.

Understand test practices regardless of language or tools.

Knowledge of source control, branching & release strategies, pull requests and automated quality gates using tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket.

2+ years of experience in public cloud (AWS) in building services using cloud native technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, serverless, Terraform, etc.

Demonstrate familiarity experience in rethinking/reimagining existing product/platform architectures as they migrate to the cloud. This includes decomposing monoliths, scalability, resiliency, observability, and security.
