AddressUGL Defence has recently been awarded the contract to manage the Defence fuel related Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance. We are recruiting Fuel Operators to join our Operations & Maintenance team in what is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in the Australia Defence environment to support the national security requirements of the Nation.
This is a unique opportunity to join a long-term, operations and maintenance contract, within the defence sector. Work with a Tier 1 services provider, alongside an established crew of experienced technicians.
The Roles
Led by an Operations Supervisor, the following roles will be based in the Brisbane/Ipswich region, supporting several fuel installation sites in the region. This permanent position will see you work Monday - Friday 38 hours per week. The permanent rate for this position is $43.00 per hour superannuation.
DFI Operator
- Previous experience working bulk fuel management or defence fuels is essential
- Duties as directed by the Operating Agent (OA)
- Performing operational functions within the Defence Fuel Installation (DFI)
- Responsible for security, environmental and emergency management of the DFI
- Minor fuel quality sampling and testing requirements
- Maintain appearance and cleanliness of surrounding area
- Maintain accurate records and keep logbooks up to date
- Excellent time management
- Responsible for storage, packaging and disposal of Dangerous Goods - including hazardous materials
What you will Need
Along with experience relevant to each role above, you will be a strong team player, a self-starter and dedicated employee. We expect that the successful applicant will have the following:
Defence specific training will be advantageous; however, this training will be provided to the successful applicant where required
- Valid Drivers Licence (HR or HC will be highly regarded)
- Safety is at the forefront of everything you do!
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance
- Live locally, or willing to relocate to the Brisbane/Ipswich region
