Due to our current growth, we are actively recruiting Housekeeping and Kitchen Attendant professionals to join our team within workforce villages across locations in the Mackay & Bowen Basin regions, QLD.
5 x Housekeeper Roles:
- Experience in administration system RMS will be highly regarded.
- Cleaning guests' accommodation and common areas to Sirrom standards.
- Making beds, cleaning ensuites, rooms and all surface areas.
- Maintain a strict health and hygiene standards and systems in the housekeeping areas.
- Making up linen packs for individual and team use.
- Willing to buddy with new employees and help train, guide and mentor for success.
5 x Kitchen Attendant Roles:
- Assist chefs to deliver breakfast, crib lunch, desserts or dinner service for residents on site (be able to work both nighshift and dayshift on a rotating roster).
- Assist chefs with vegetable preparation.
- Assist in receiving of stock and supplies.
- Undertake regular waste collection in kitchen and dining areas.
- Wash dishes, kitchen equipment and utensils as required.
- Ensure food presentation, product presentation and meal service is to Sirrom standards.
- Replenishment of dining condiments regularly throughout service periods.
- Willing to buddy with new employees and help train, guide and mentor for success.
- Maintain a strict health and hygiene standards and systems in the kitchen.
Skills and experience required:
- Minimum 1 year work experience on a remote workforce village, in a commercial kitchen, commercial cleaning or relevant hospitality experience.
- Working knowledge of basic Food Safe Standards for kitchen stream.
- Display a friendly and considerate disposition to guests and staff ensuring a harmonious work environment.
- Cleaning skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Developed time management skills.
What you need:
- Food Handler's Certificate (Kitchen Attendants)
- Australian Driver's Licence (must be any Australian State) - international licence is not accepted.
- Proof of current Right to Work in Australia.
- National Police Check - no more than 1 month old
- To be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screening.
The successful candidates will have proven experience in a commercial kitchen and commercial cleaning environments and be able to work unsupervised at times. These roles require you to work 10 hours per day and you may be required to work nightshift.
