Programmed Facility Management are seeking experienced FIFO Casual Utility(Kitchen & Bar / Retail) staff to join our Village Management Team to provide relief coverage. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of an essential team that provides soft services such as Village Management, Catering, Transport, Cleaning and Utility services to a well-known Mining Company situated in the west of North Queensland.

This position is responsible for maintaining a high standard of daily food and menu preparation, cooking and service for the Residents of the Village. Additionally, responsible for the responsible service of alcohol and sale of products to Residents (and Employees), maintaining a high level of customer service and cleanliness.
Ad hoc support to the Village Team is occasionally required.
Duties include:
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety practices, in line with HACCP guidelines, procedures and documentation
- Assistance with the provision of high-quality, nutritious, and well-presented meals including bulk food preparation, labelling etc.
- Ensure the main facility is presented tidy and organized at all time
- Ensure all designated work areas are held to a high standard of cleanliness; ensure all kitchenware is washed and stored and rubbish is removed to standard
- Maintenance of the kitchen premises and food production equipment
- Preparing and serving alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, water and coffee
- Maintaining the bar area, collecting and washing glassware
- Tapping kegs and cleaning beer lines
- Provide product advice in a retail environment; increase retail sales, taking and handling payments for orders
- Assist other site departments, such as the Front Desk / Reception from time to time, if required
- Assist other departments from time to time, if required
To join our team, you will have previous cleaning experience and be highly organized, possessing strong time and priority management skills. Additionally, experience driving light vehicles with passengers around Site with a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others, and a passion to provide quality work and service with a smile, at all times:
You will possess:
- Australian Working Rights
- VALID C, MR, HR License, including Passenger Authorisation
- Ability to pass a comprehensive (Client) Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
- Current satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months)
- Previous experience at a Village preferred
- The following experience / qualifications with Camp Facilities such as First Aid, Certificate III / IV Commercial Cookery or Hospitality, HRWL (LF), RSA / Approved Manager, ARO Certification and Cleaning (desirable)
Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:
- Basic Systems and Technology experience i.e., MS Office, online/web-based Payroll & Training requirements
- Ability to work autonomously and be a self-motivator
- Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing work tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace, with excellent customer service skills
- Have a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others
