Sirrom Facility Management Services are currently seeking serious, driven Guest Service Attendants in our Housekeeping and Catering teams in our Kerlong mining village based in Burton, QLD.

Admin/ Reservationist
The role consists of organizing all accommodation bookings (vast experience with RMS booking system highly desirable), check-in/ check-out, group bookings, key management, reporting, dealing with client and guest relations, customer resolution focused, working closely alongside our management, housekeeping team & other departments to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations.
Housekeepers
The role consists of cleaning accommodation rooms (ensuited dongas), general housekeeping, striping and remaking beds, general cleaning duties of ensuites, floors, walls and laundry.
Kitchenhands/ Housekeeper
The role consists of supporting our catering and housekeeping team in a hybrid role consisting of food preparation, making fruit platters, salads and crib meals, assisting Chefs when directed, keeping high standards for food safety and hygiene, cleaning and tidying service areas, assisting with unloading deliveries, stocktakes and other ad hoc jobs in the catering team & with the housekeeping team consisting of cleaning accommodation rooms (ensuited dongas), general housekeeping, striping and remaking beds, general cleaning duties of ensuites, floors, walls and laundry.
You will need your own reliable transport (car) + licence for this role.
All roles are physically demanding, working on your feet for up to 10 hours per day and it is a site requirement that you wear full PPE (mine-site) at all times.
We have various rosters options available on offer for the right candidate.
You will be based within the Isaac Region - Mackay, Glenden, Moranbah, Sarina, Bowen, Nebo and surrounding areas on a drive-in/drive-out basis.
The Person:
- Must have experience in hospitality or a similar field
- The ability to work in extreme remote conditions
- Team player and be flexible to work in all areas
- Ability to always follow safety policies and procedures
- Be physically fit and able to work 10-hour days
- Must have own reliable transport (car) + licence for this role.
Must have Pre-Requisites:
It is a requirement that all new applicants must have or willing to obtain the mandatory certificates necessary:
a) Standard 11 training
b) Current Coal Board Medical
c) Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Test
d) National Police Check
