About this opportunity
Our Workshop team has an opportunity for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, service and maintain light, heavy vehicle and road construction and maintenance plant and fleet
Additionally, you’ll also …
- Undertake services and maintenance programs and fault diagnostic services for Council’s heavy plant and vehicle fleet in workshops and project sites.
- Diagnose and rectify faults using Diagnostic Systems including (CAT ET, CATSIS, G scan. etc.)
- Rectify equipment failure and interpret spare parts from OEM parts manual and software programs.
- Ensure cleanliness, quality and safety of workshop & environment is of the highest standard at all times.
- Carryout pre- COI inspections and pre-inspections on AIS inspections
- Undertake recording of maintenance history and data on all repairs and services
About you…
- Trade qualification in diesel fitting, heavy commercial vehicle mechanics or equivalent along with experience servicing and maintaining vehicles, trucks, plant equipment and machinery
- Queensland "C", 'MR' or ‘HR’ Class driver’s licence
- Ability to diagnose automotive electrical and hydraulic component functions and systems faults
- Proven experience in the maintenance and fault diagnostics of machinery hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Experience in diagnosis, service and maintenance of automotive and plant air conditioning systems.
- Experience in the use of manufacturer's diagnostic software and diagnostic equipment
