We currently have only a few rare vacancies for highly safety, diagnostic and technically focused Heavy Diesel Fitters to join the machine rebuilds team at the Perth Repair Centre based in Welshpool, WA. We are offering a 7&7 Thursday-Wednesday roster, 6am-6pm - DAY ONLY ROSTER, where you will have the opportunity to drive to work and be home every night!
You will be responsible for rebuilding heavy mobile machinery, predominately CAT machinery.
Your role will involve, but is not limited to:
- Disassembling/assembling cat machinery such as dump trucks, graders, dozers and loaders
- Diagnosing, analysing and repairing components
- Creating a safe learning environment through mentoring our trainees and apprentices
About you:
- Relevant trade qualification
- Experience working on CAT Machinery including dump trucks, dozers, loaders, and graders
- Knowledgeable with CAT SIS systems and parts listings
- A proven commitment to safety
- The ability to foster a teamwork atmosphere within your work group
- Demonstrated prior experience working with heavy plant and equipment within the mining/earthmoving industry.
- Forklift and dogging tickets preferred
