Permanent roles for Diesel Fitters - Heavy Equipment based at Glencore Hail Creek Mine.
Due to unprecedented and successful growth at Glencore Hail Creek Mine we now have the opportunity to employ new Diesel Fitters for the Heavy Maintenance Workshop.
Come be part of a dynamic team in one of the safest and world class mine workshop!! This diverse role offers, working in the safest workshop and on exclusive Caterpillar and Komatsu heavy mobile mining equipment from Ultra Class Electric Drive Trucks to Ancillary Equipment Dozers, Graders and Loaders.
This is an excellent career opportunity for qualified Diesel Fitters to join and support this new and exciting long term journey Wisely has secured.
Diesel Fitters with experience and product knowledge, coupled with workshop experience in Components, Servicing and Repairing heavy machinery on any of the following equipment CATERPILLAR, KOMATSU, CUMMINS, PENSKE & TEREX
Mine Location:
Hail Creek Mine is located 120km south west of Mackay with 1.5hour commute by car/bus. Accommodation is on site, access to all site facilities including gym, wet mess bar, sporting complex and swimming pool. Truly live like a king/queen while you are working away from home!!
About You
- Minimum 3+ years demonstrated workshop experience in repairing and maintaining Diesel Fitter - Heavy Maintenance Equipment
- Experience and product knowledge in Caterpillar & Komatsu heavy mobile mining equipment preferred
- A positive and proactive approach to safety
- Willingness to learn and ask questions if you don't know
- Commitment to working as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to customer service
- Engineering Mechanical / Diesel Fitter, Trade Certificates (mandatory)
- Coal Board Medical
- Standard 11 Training
- Glencore Generic Induction
- Contract to October 2027
- Base $154,920+ Attractive remuneration and weekly pays
- $68.10 per/hr and overtime $73.36 per/hr
- Superannuation on all hours worked + Coal Long Service contributions
- 190 hours Annual Leave + 17.5% Annual Leave loading
- 76 hours Personal leave
- 7:7 rotating shifts 12.5 hours, great work/life roster
- DIDO| BIBO from Mackay - Buses are free
- FIFO options conditions apply
- Overtime available on day shifts only
- Supplied PPE & Training renewal for High Risk tickets and licences
