Equipment Direct International (EDI), established in 2008, is an independent, family-owned Queensland business in the Construction Equipment Industry.
We are a successful repairer, supplier and hirer of a broad range of construction, mining and Earthmoving Equipment. Due to a recent internal advancement / succession within the EDI Service Department we are currently looking for experienced, highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a FIELD SERVICE DIESEL FITTER working out of our purpose-built facility in Yatala, QLD.

You will report directly to the Service Operations Manager and Service Coordinator and work with the Service Team whilst maintaining a “can do, will do" professional attitude and building a strong rapport with customers.
Our workshop is located in Yatala (South Brisbane / Northern Gold Coast) and the position has a 5 day week with an opportunity for overtime, being Saturdays. Ideally you will reside in the Brisbane South or Northern Gold Coast regions and you will have the opportunity to take the Service Vehicle home each night which presents a significant cost saving for the family budget.
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform Breakdown and Repair work on various Earthmoving Equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and dump trucks
- Conduct inspections to identify issues and assess repair requirements
- Repair and replace damaged components, ensuring equipment is in optimal working condition
- Collaborate with Peers and Management to troubleshoot complex problems and find effective solutions
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications:
- Diesel Fitting Trade Qualification is a must
- Proven experience as an Earthmoving Diesel Fitter, with a strong background in Diagnostics and Component rebuilds is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using various tools and equipment relevant to Diesel Fitting
- Sound understanding of SIS, OEM Software, Workshop Manuals and technical specifications is essential
- Safety-conscious mindset with the ability to adhere to established safety guidelines
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing equipment issues
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
