Diesel Mechanic

We are currently recruiting for Heavy Diesel Mechanics with experience in the Heavy Machinery or Logistics Industry.

Our client is going through exceptional growth and are looking for a motivated Diesel Mechanic to repair and maintain extensive fleet of Kenworth Trucks.

• Work Shop based in Townsville Queensland
• Immediate Start
• Day Shifts Available | Monday to Friday + OT
• Hourly Rates range between $47 to $50 per hour - Pending experience
• Must have current drivers license & HC License (advantage)
• Family friendly working environment
• NO EMPLOYER VISA SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE

The role will involve but not be limited to:

• The routine servicing and breakdown repairs
• Major Inspections
• Conducting quality inspections
• Workshop preventative and breakdown maintenance on diesel fleet
• Occasional local site work for breakdowns
• Strong experience in maintenance and repairs
• Ability to follow and update service maintenance schedules and prioritise works to support operational capability
• Accurate and timely completion of relevant servicing paperwork

All applicants must have full working rights in Australia and prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing as required.

The successful candidate will have:

• Relevant trade qualification
• Troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills
• Experience with buses, trucks, heavy equipment/machinery or Cranes
