Diesel Mechanic / Fitter

DAC Enterprises is seeking an experienced, dedicated and qualified full-time Diesel Mechanic/Fitter to join their dynamic team.Due to increasing work, we are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic /Fitter to join our Workshop Team based in Palmerston. You will be mainly responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel-powered vehicles and plants and undertake diagnostic tests on vehicles and maintain detailed records of the vehicles serviced.Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Install, maintain and repair mechanical components on a wide variety of vehicles and plants for petrol and diesel engines
· Schedule regular preventative machine maintenance, repairs and servicing including diagnosis
· Overhaul, and rebuild diesel engines
· Compile high-quality field service and job reports
· Provide technical assistance when required
· Proactively maintaining a safe and healthy workshop environment and support an ongoing improvement cultureAbout You:
· Trade qualification (Diesel Mechanic) or a diploma in automotive engineering
· Valid driver's licence
· Aptitude for mathematics and science
· 3-5 years of extensive experience in the maintenance of heavy vehicles/machineries
· Computer literate
· Experience in understanding and interpreting fault code data, electric fault finding, and machine information
· Experience working with Heavy Earthmoving equipment is essential.

· Highly organizedA remuneration package between $70,000 to $90,000 per annum plus superannuation will be negotiated depending on skills and experience.
