Our client is currently looking for an experienced Supervisor/Leading hand to join their highly skilled maintenance team. Our dynamic team is seeking a Supervisor/ Leading hand to play a crucial role in our operations. This is not just a job; it's a stepping stone to a promising future in the industry.
This is a permanent position with a progressive company. On offer for the successful candidate:
Worksop based in Altona but will be required to deploy to Melbourne Ports
Attractive base salary $55 per hour permanent

Your Responsibilities:
- Manage the performance of your team.
- Allocate resources to work maximising billable utilisation.
- Undertake unplanned repairs in a timely manner.
- Assist with the development of work forecasting.
- Conduct risk and hazard assessments associated with allocated tasks.
- Managing inventory and ensuring accurate stock levels.
- Data entry involving time cards, service information, and invoicing, as well as varied tasks from the accounts department.
- Upkeeping workshop documents including service, quality assurance, and consumables.
- Specifying product requirements.
You would ideally possess the following experience and skills:
Qualifications:
- Mechanical or Electrical Trade
- Current drivers' licence
- High risk licence for Forklift and Elevated Platform work
- Maritime and Security Identification card (MSIC)
- Heavy Vehicle/Plant Diesel Experience
- Hydraulic Experience
- Container Terminal asset experience.
Work Experience/skills
- Experience heavy diesel motors (Caterpillar, Cummins, Mercedes preferred)
- Heavy vehicle transmission
- Fitting/machining
- Welding/fabrication
- Hydraulic controls
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts and overtime if required
