Leading Hand Mechanical Conveyor Technician

Fenner Conveyors, a Michelin Group Company, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Leading Hand to oversee service coordination, the delivery of practical technical knowledge, and provide customer service assistance throughout our current and new business activities.
Operating out of our Gladstone Branch, this newly created role will be responsible for overseeing the development of our mechanical service scope at one of our core customer sites.
What a day-to-day will look like:

• Coordinating and organising teams of Mechanical Fitters / Boilermakers for daily operations
• Ensure quality service standards are maintained to Company and customer requirements
• Planning, scoping, and executing jobs to the highest standard
• Liaising with customers and contractors
• Promoting proactive safety leadership
• Identifying and acting on business improvement and development opportunities

Your value:
This role would be well suited for an experienced Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker who is motivated, solutions-focused, and has previous team-leading experience. Moreover, you will also possess.

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Mechanical Conveyor maintenance
• Self-starter with outstanding organisational and sales abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Has the ability to engage, motivate, and coach work teams and effectively instruct, supervise, and mentor apprentices and other qualified tradespersons
• Desirable Tickets: Dogging, Work at Heights, Forklift, Confined SPaces, Rigging, HR Drivers license, Valid Coal Board Medical
