A typical day in the Shire of Murray Communications and Marketing team could look like this:
- Planning for the future of WA's next wave of successful industries and businesses.
- Sharing our stories far and wide.
- Designing strategic social media activities to market new and future-proof tourism activations.
- Spending time in our community creating videos and social content to demonstrate how the Shire of Murray is delivering the community vision and Council Plan.
We're looking for someone keen to learn, innovate and grow in a Digital Communications role. You'll be a wordsmith who's confident around people, a dab hand at social and content (even if it's just your own profiles) and have an eye for great design.
We're looking for someone with a growth mindset, who is eager to learn and become a firm part of a friendly, pacey, innovative team that is genuinely doing things differently in local government.
This is a temporary ten-month contract position working 76 hours across a 9-day fortnight. An EBA Level 6 salary of between $78,294 to $83,473 is offered for this role dependent upon skills, knowledge and experience.
Qualification's, Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will ideally demonstrated experience in creating engaging, interesting, fun and informative content on social media channels, including personal profiles and display excellent communication and professional writing skills and recognise the need to engage different audiences by adapting your style.
