A bit about the role
The Digital Content Producer will collaborate with the Content Designer and agile product development team to enhance the online service experience for customers. Responsibilities include implementing content design and strategy, advising on content management, and supporting digital services, website, and intranet content requests at Casey.
What you’ll deliver
- Source, edit, load, and administer approved content across digital platforms in-line with Council’s writing for the web best practice and implement content design best practice.
- Coordinate the production of documents for online and advise staff on how best to prepare their documents for the website and intranet in-line with the WCAG 2.0 accessibility requirements.
- Deliver content that is informed by accessibility and usability to ensure our digital services, website and intranet meets user needs.
- Advise stakeholders on best online publishing practices for website and intranet content authors.
- Research emerging technologies and trends and make recommendations on how these can enhance the experience of our customers and staff.
What you’ll bring
- Relevant tertiary qualification and extensive experience or lesser qualifications with a proven track record in a similar position.
- Experience using web content management systems (WordPress, SharePoint or Drupal preferred).
- Sound knowledge of writing for the web and WCAG 2.0 website accessibility principles.
- Basic graphic design skills (Photoshop and Illustrator preferred, though not essential) and skills in formatting multimedia files for online use.
- Basic skills in HTML5.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check.
- A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
