Digital Marketing Manager

The organization

For over 50 years this privately owned auction house has been providing both vendors and buyers wonderful access to a range of items in their Eastern suburbs show room and on line

They specialize in the sale of personal collections and general household items and their clients include both private and commercial vendors and their buyers engage with them on a weekly basis through live online public auctions of furniture, general goods ,motor vehicles , collectables and antiques.

They are a family based company this progressive and future focused and they contribute to the circular economy through facilitating recycling . They have a small supportive team based environment .

The role

Reporting to the Chairman this role will have responsibility to develop and implement marketing programs for the group that creates leads and drives customer traffic

This is a key role for the business and includes the following areas of responsibility :

• Marketing strategy and plans
• Email marketing program
• Writing of creative and relative content
• Social media marketing
• Analysing campaigns
• Marketing projects including events , promotions and publicity
• Website management , design updates and continuous improvement

This role will also be a member of the Executive Management team which will enable the person to work across and experience and broad range of business skills

To be successful in this role you will ideally have :

• Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or a related discipline
• Proven experience and success in a Digital Marketing environment ideally in a retail environment including detailed knowledge of social media marketing and Google products
• Experience in having responsibility for both strategy development and hands on execution
• Full working knowledge of Wordpress and website development and management
• A coaching management style and ability to influence others in the business
• High level of energy and interest in the Auction industry
• A skilled multi tasker who enjoys working in a small and committed team
• Strong attention to detail and an enquiring mind
