Digital Officer
About your new role
As a Digital Officer in our Chief Technology Office, you will maintain and enhance the City's websites and related communication channels, ensuring the delivery of effective customer services, information, and marketing campaigns for the organisation.
What you'll be responsible for:
Our Digital Officers ensure our internet and intranet sites are running smoothly. You'll be the go-to person for all things web content and design and will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure information is up to date and meets business and customer requirements.
Using your HTML and CSS skills, you'll make sure our content looks great and is easy to find and use online. You'll also need to dive into data to see how our customers are using our sites and suggest new features to make their experience better.

What you'll bring to the role:

- Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experienced in CMS like OpenCities and SharePoint
- Knowledgable in web concepts: user experience (UX), accessibility (WCAG), information architecture, SEO, readability etc.
- Experience in web content design and multimedia tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Fireworks, Acrobat, campaign monitor etc.) for content creation
- Familiarity with digital marketing, quality assurance and accessibility tools including the Google suite (Analytics, Ads and Tag Manager) and Monsido
- Expertise in Excel for high-level reporting
