Higher education organisation in Townsville seeking Digital Project Manager

A leading higher education organisation headquartered in Townsville with operations throughout Queensland are seeking a Digital Project Manager to work within a dedicated digital team aimed at improving the operation of multiple digital solutions across the organisation!
Your new role
Your new role will see you report directly into the Head of Digital Solutions who oversees all aspects of digital transformation, systems, processes and procedures across the organisation (with its many thousands of employees and students). Reporting into this person, you will sit within a specially created Digital Team whose aim is to improve, streamline and modernise the platforms used by dozens of teams and departments. Comprising of multi-disciplinary members of staff (Engineers, Analysts, Architects, etc), your role in this team as the Digital Project Manager will see you lead and manage their large program of work and its many projects.
This program of work covers the upgrade, deployment, integration and roll out of a variety of off the shelf solutions throughout the organisation. For an insight into some of these projects, within the payroll domain you will be tasked with the management of the upgrade of their payroll platform and its integration with other systems. From this you may move on to the deployment of the ATO’s Single Touch Payroll (STP) to enable the clear exchange of taxation data from private and public institutions to the federal government. Their roadmap also includes projects such as Super contribution automation, overhauling the recruitment system and coordinating testing solutions of these (among others). Regardless of the project, each system will be integrated with an in-house built API solution to enable everything to communicate smoothly.
As part of this role you will be put in charge of the project roadmap, budget, program governance structure, project specifications and procurement (where applicable). Alongside this you will also be conducting team management, stakeholder engagement and technical management amongst other duties. Whilst many of these stakeholders are located in Townsville, this role may be worked remotely with site visits required as and when (circa 25%).

What you'll need to succeed
You will need experience/knowledge across (in no particular order) the following:
IT/Technical Project management
Roadmap planning and execution
Team and technical management
HR, Payroll and Recruitment solutions (e.g. SAP, Oracle, TechOne, Ascender, etc)
Working within the government or education field (not a necessity but would be a bonus)
Clear communication skills (written and oral)
Full Australian working rights
