Job Overview:FTP is seeking a skilled and motivated Digital Radio Specialist to be based in Brisbane for a 4 month contract with the potential for extension.
The successful candidate will be providing Digital Radio expertise to a Tier 1 Mining Company.
What you will bringEssential:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Telecommunications Technician preferable
- Digital Radio Systems TETRA, P25 Radio Systems.
- Strong Working knowledge of RF theory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a range of cross-functional stakeholders.
- Previous mining/resources remote site process control experience preferred, including operational support of mission-critical services.
- Infrastructure/network management experience in IT and/or process control in a large and remote environment.
- Trade/Tertiary qualification in Radio Telecommunications, Information Technology and or equivalent IT/OT experience
- Vendor Training in:
- DAMM TETRA
- Sepura Radio Manager RM2
- Motorola Vendor P25
Desirable:
- CCNA Certification (or currently studying).
- Microwave Radio Systems SDH, PDH, IP (Avait, Cambium).
- Solar & Power and generator systems Knowledge
- Previous experience in operational support of mission-critical services in large-scale environments, preferably mining/resources.
- Proven track record in the delivery of support services.
- Knowledge, use and configuration of Asset Health Monitoring Tools.
- You will be based in Brisbane, with site travel to the Bowen Basin as required by the Project.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team to implement and maintain standards across all areas.
- Self-motivated and effective communicator with Technology, operational or maintenance experience.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills. Team-oriented and results-focused.
