The Corporate Services Division incorporates governance, finance, legal, risk, information technology, property and logistics. The focus of the Division is to ensure Cancer Council’s Corporate Services operate to the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness to ensure compliance and support the organisation to deliver on its Strategic Priorities. The Division also works to ensure the protection and optimisation of the Council’s financial and business assets, and reputation.

Part of Corporate Services Division, the IT team includes Digital services team, Operations team and the Project Management Office (PMO).

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Digital Service Designer to join the Digital Services Team. Reporting to the Manager, Digital Services your role is to:
• Work closely with multiple stakeholders to understand user needs and business goals in detail.
• Solve problems through Human-centered design approaches.
• such as interviews, ideation workshop and user testing.
• Create lo/high-fidelity prototyping across all stages of the design process (Adobe XD)
• Win the hearts and minds of your stakeholders through appropriate methodology and insights.
• Participate and contribute in team’s agile ritual and routine
• Collaborate effectively with the project team and the project stakeholders

All about you

This role is for a Service Design / Experience Design practitioner who can act with a high degree of autonomy in their teams and collaborate with others to drive both the service and the Cancer Council Victoria’s digital product forward.
You are a very strong communicator, passionate about your craft and enjoy helping others develop their skills, understand opportunities, encourage innovation, and foster an energetic, vibrant team culture.

We are looking for someone with:
• Relevant tertiary degree in Design or related field and/or experience in Digital Design and Development
• You have a portfolio showing off your incredible skills – which you can confidently talk to in terms of business and user objectives and delivered value.
• Demonstrated experience experience in Service Design, UX or CX
• Expertise in experience mapping and interaction design
• Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools to demonstrate your design approach and vision (Adobe XD as the in-house prototyping tool) • Demonstrated attention to detail and eye for visual aesthetic, as well as an ability to identify and resolve complex problems in a timely manner Ability to execute design research and synthesise data from many sources into coherent information and design direction
• System thinking – Ability to understand and leverage system’s capability and viability to create the best experience
• Effective communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain working relationships with Engineers, Developers, SMEs, internal and external stakeholders

Desirable criteria:
• Industry knowledge in health sector
• Management expertise for prioritisation and trade-off discussions
• Experience with Agile methodology
