Byron Bay Preschool Inc. comprises of two community-based non-profit centres (Cavanbah and Coogera) and a nature preschool, in Northern Rivers, NSW. Both our licensed preschools are of exceptional quality and exceed the National Quality Standards across every area and element. We also run a range of programs that support the community in a variety of ways. Our preschool programs focus on providing high-quality Early Childhood education that responds to each child's needs using respectful and reflective practice. Our philosophy places high importance on relationships, engaging natural environments, and children's rights.
All preschool programs cater to children aged 3 to 5 years and offer a program based on the Early Years Learning Framework. We are open from 8 am to 3.30 pm, Monday to Friday during NSW school terms. The centres share one director and work closely together, collaborating on joint experiences and staff development.
We are looking for an experienced and innovative diploma-trained educator to support the delivery of our innovative curriculum. The weekly contracted hours can be negotiated to suit the right applicant. We are seeking an educator who has extensive experience, has the skills to support the implementation of our quality improvement plan, can work well as a team player, and a person who has a sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework. Selection Criteria
1. Recognised Early Childhood diploma
2. A minimum of four years of work experience in a diploma role
3. Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis, WWCC and Child Protection training.
4. Sound knowledge of NQF, and excellent documentation skills
5. Personal philosophy that aligns with our preschool philosophy- with a focus on relationships, child voice, inclusion, sustainability, and inspirational learning environments.
To be considered for a role you must possess a demonstrated track record that will highlight your knowledge of the National Quality Framework, current regulations, ability to work within a team, understanding of inclusive practices and anti-bias, an understanding of children's rights including children's right to have a voice, sustainability, and inspirational natural learning environments as well as excellent teaching, planning, documentation and organisational skills.
You will need to have an enthusiasm for ongoing learning and professional development. You will possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with parents, teaching staff, community stakeholders, and most importantly children.
